What Conor & The GreensKeepers bring to their music is authentic grit from life experience, swaddled in live instruments and nu-jazz combinations. Conor’s evolution from MC to DJ to Vocalist to jazz band leader has only fed the lessons his music portrays. Birmingham in his heart and Manchester in his step, he offers kindness with the footnote of ‘stay strong, you’ve got this’.
Jazz, UKG, Disco, Soul, Rap, Reggae, Grime…the list continues: Conor & The GreensKeepers dance across the musicality that exists in the heart of UK and world music. Rooted in their ‘Garden’ ethos, the band is finding its path one song at a time.
The GreensKeepers Jam offers the stage to attendees and provides a space to play unscripted, improv compositions with the band, as well as the wider GreensKeepers Community. It has been a weekly event at Stage & Radio throughout 2024 and was previously at Joshua Brookes and Canvas, Oxford Road.
Come along and you can decide on the day if you want to be involved; there will be regular rotations throughout the evening based on who is in the room and what positions in the set up are available. The GreensKeepers Jam is rooted in jazz and takes a journey around styles to find unique cue points for those playing to show their flair and individuality. All are welcome, and kindness and consideration are a must, with a strict policy of good vibes only – which means no unnecessary swearing or profanities if possible.
