We are delighted to announce D’Accord! – the pilot of our newest French-UK collaboration.
The partnership, formed between mjf and The Glasshouse International Centre for Music in Gateshead, with the support of Centre National de la Musique (CNM) in Paris, selected two alumni artists from each country to work together on a new music collaboration. Artists were handpicked from the organisations’ talent development programmes: hothouse, Summer Studios, and Artists in Residence, along with two French artists selected by all partners.
The project offered an invaluable opportunity for artists that have journeyed through our support programmes to open up their international horizons and develop partnerships with overseas artists.
Devising sessions took place at The Glasshouse and this exclusive musical partnership premiered at The Glasshouse and mjf during our festival period (17-26 May 2024).
