Themory was commissioned via our #mjforiginals programme & built around video footage collated from Manchester memories! 💛

Originally from Newcastle but living in Amsterdam, Sam is returning to the UK with his award winning & international quintet.

2.) @byron_wallen coming to @nqjazz & hosted by @theyard_mcr

Byron Wallen returns to Manchester to perform with his quartet 'Four Corners', showcasing new material. Widely recognised as a seminal figure in world jazz, trumpeter and composer Byron Wallen is constantly travelling the world recording, teaching and performing. He has been playing trumpet in various contexts, live and on record, alongside legendary musicians such as George Benson, Andrew Hill, Chaka Khan, Ingrid Laubrock, Hugh Masekela, Courtney Pine and Mulatu Astatke.
