manchester jazz festival is back, hot off the heels of our very special 30th festival edition! Lighting up venues across the city, from 15-24 May, mjf2026 will see hundreds of northern, national and international jazz musicians descend on Manchester, showcasing the genre’s leading lights alongside its most exciting emerging talent.
mjf2026 opens with a spectacular opening weekender at the vibrant urban neighbourhood: mjf2026 @ First Street featuring live music, family-friendly activities, food and drink! There are two new partner venues: Whittles and George Street Chapel, via our partnership with Oldham Coliseum Theatre, as we venture into the borough! mjf regular and returning venues include: Matt & Phreds, RNCM, Forsyth Music Shop, Stoller Hall, Low Four Studio, Stage & Radio and The Carlton Club. The festival closes with an extended weekend-long party at Band on the Wall, with an afternoon showcase at Aviva Studios.
